WILD ANIMALS ARE NOT PETS
Spectacles, trafficking and illegal possession of wildlife species. Dolphins are intelligent and sensitive animals that traverse large areas of the ocean, regularly dive to depths of 60 meters and swim more than 130 km a day. They live in complex social groups (herds), hunt cooperatively and develop close relationships with each other, similar to humans. Mothers have very strong ties with their offspring and females stay close to their mother throughout their lives. Studies show that male dolphins always remember their mothers and like us, they have better friends.
Unfortunately there are more than 320 dolphins in captivity in Mexico. They live in small tanks and pools where they are forced to do tricks foreign to their nature all day, every day. Dolphinaria are tiny compared to the ocean and dolphins usually die prematurely. Several studies have shown that captivity severely weakens your immune system and this can lead to death, so they are permanently medicated.
TOGETHER WE CAN SAVE THE WILD ANIMALS
Step 1
Stop the creation of the General Biodiversity Law that will soon be voted in the Chamber of Deputies and that, among other things, seeks to reproduce more than 200 dolphins and protect the dolphin industry for at least another 80 years.
Step 2
Reform legislation to prohibit the reproduction of captive dolphins, capture them and improve their welfare standards while they live there.
Step 3
Promote and support plans to build sanctuaries, ensuring there is a place for retired dolphins to live in peace.
